Mini-Musicians Week 9
Our most recent Mini-Musicians Summer Series session was a joyful celebration of sound! After reviewing the musical alphabet, kids explored a variety of instruments—including vintage and modern xylophones, panda drum, cajón, banjo, ukulele, guitar, acoustic piano, and electric piano. The highlight came when they took the stage, singing into microphones connected to our mixing board and speakers. Laughter, dancing, and music filled the room—what a day!
Mini-Musicians Week 8: Strings & Keys
This week's Mini-Musicians session was all about exploring the magic of stringed instruments and piano! Kids strummed a ukulele, plucked a banjo, strummed an acoustic guitar, pressed the keys of a piano, and even tried out an electric guitar. They played “mystery sounds” to guess which instrument made each sound, then ended with a creative craft—designing their own guitar, banjo, or ukulele using ribbon for strings. It was a hands-on, joyful day full of music, discovery, and creativity!
Mini-Musicians Week 7: "Patterns in My Song"
This week, our Mini-Musicians explored how music is built on patterns! From rhythmic clapping to composing their own mini melodies with dot stickers, kids discovered how sound, silence, repetition, and pitch work together to form music. Using keyboards, xylophones, drums, and their own voices, they began crafting musical patterns that became part of their very own Pattern Songbooks. It was a joyful, creative session full of hands-on learning and musical confidence-building!
Mini-Musicians Week 6: My Melody
Our sixth session of Mini-Musicians focused on melody-making! Kids reviewed the musical alphabet and practiced writing notes on the treble clef staff, using stickers to show pitch and dynamics. We moved with our voices—singing high, medium, and low—and tried out our custom-made melodies on piano, keyboard, or xylophone. It was a joyful, creative week as each child composed and performed a melody of their own!
🎶 Mini-Musicians Week 5: Melody Makers
This week, our Mini-Musicians explored the magic of melody! Through hands-on activities, live demonstrations, and a bit of musical courage, we dove into the difference between beat, rhythm, and melody—and how melodies soar above it all.
We reviewed the musical alphabet, explored the grand staff, and discovered the meaning of treble and bass clefs—huge musical building blocks!
Each child created their own rainbow melody using puff balls to represent high, medium, and low pitches—and we even sang their creations out loud. It was a joyful, imaginative step into melody-making, and these young musicians impressed us with their creativity and curiosity!
🎆 Mini-Musicians Week 4: Red, White & Boom!
Our Mini-Musicians brought the energy and excitement this week with a celebration of sound, rhythm, and creativity! We strummed ukuleles and guitars, explored the musical alphabet, and learned all about note values—from quarter notes to dotted half notes. Kids moved and grooved through freeze dance, made their own patriotic noisemakers, and played a “What’s the Instrument?” guessing game to sharpen their listening ears. It was a joyful, hands-on celebration of music and movement just in time for the 4th of July!
🎻 Mini-Musicians Week 3: Tiny Strings & Things
Our Mini-Musicians explored the magic of stringed instruments—ukuleles, violins, mandolins, and more! From discovering vibrations to matching musical sounds, it was a hands-on, joy-filled journey of plucking, playing, and dancing to the beat.
Week 2 of our Mini-Musician Series had us marching, clapping, and tapping our way through the world of rhythm! Our Mini-Musicians became true Rhythm Explorers—discovering the beat with drums, shakers, sticks, and big smiles.
Our Mini-Musicians Summer Series kicked off with joyful sounds, curious minds, and lots of laughter. Week 1’s Instrument Petting Zoo gave children a chance to explore real instruments and build confidence through play.

It was the perfect start to a summer of creativity and music!
